Primarily, my specialism in portraiture and I can teach methods using a range of traditional art materials. These skills can however be moulded to suit any subject in regards to tonal values, perspective, measuring and exploring painting techniques, brushstrokes and materials etc. I can introduce oils/watercolours/ acrylics and their mediums and I can make canvases and instruct how to size and prepare them properly.
I have ten years’ experience of working as an artist in a range of different areas. I’m quite a bubbly ‘people person’ having also spent four years as a trained (Sexual Health) Outreach worker. For the last 3 years I’ve been working as an Art Facilitator for disabled adults in a day centre and that includes creating weekly group activities and personal projects (uniquely designed for specific needs). I’ve also done a range of public art workshops on a freelance basis, some videos of which you can see on my website. I’ve also done big murals with Urban Canvas which mostly included using stencils, doing fills with spray paint and painting detailed work.
I can use basic Makaton and have loads of experience working with those with Autism and those with complex learning needs. I’m a patient and caring person and I really value person-centred learning.
I can also make pretty much anything using newspaper, Sellotape and papier-Mache should anyone require a sculpture making workshop! I’m pretty good with clay and 3D design using found objects and making use of up-cycling too.
I’ve done a massive range of things so it’s best to just ask if you’re unsure. Hope this gives you a good idea of my range. The CV should help too I hope.
King regards and again. Please accept my apologies for the wait. I’d really like to start doing some new jobs and meeting new people as I’m ready to leave my current post. Thanks for your time.
