We have been providing all kinds of workshops for children and young people across England and Wales. We have learned what works well and what doesn’t work so well.
Urban music is popular with many young people and in particular difficult to reach teenagers. Music can be a great way to entertain, engage and teach children a skill that they ‘want to learn’. DJ skills have been used to engage BESD children, as part of a music curriculum and merely a positive activity for children and young people to have fun with.
DJ skills workshops are great for children who want to learn to DJing. There are numerous skills to DJing like scratching, beat juggling, pitch mixing, turntablism, CD mixing, turntable tricks, performance techniques’ and many other skills. Nugent Education will deliver these in your schools, youth clubs and even for private tuition.
Participants can bring their own CD’s, or even vinyl’s (for those who have them), and work with whatever type of music they are into. We have top DJ’s on our available, including DJ Rasp, a former world champion scratch DJ. DJ skills classes and workshops are only suitable for small groups of no more four or five children or young people. For children wishing to learn how to DJ professionally or just learn as a skill, or experience, or just for fun (or positive engagement), it’s a fantastic, fun workshop we would highly recommend.
